This review focuses on the Level-2 version of the Knight's Armament Bullet Flight app, which offers military-grade ballistic computing capabilities. It is noteworthy that there exists a more advanced Level-M (Military) edition of the app. This variant incorporates enhanced features such as the ability to calculate true Ballistic Coefficient (BC) based on bullet drop, dual velocities, flight time, bullet stability, and factors like bullet spin drift and the Coriolis effect due to Earth's rotation.

Knight's Armament Bullet Flight serves as a highly efficient ballistic calculator designed for rapid field use. Rather than merely presenting data in static tables, this application dynamically generates real-time solutions to facilitate precise shooting decisions. Users can input current weather parameters—temperature, pressure, humidity, wind speed, and direction—along with target angles measured by the built-in accelerometer. The app extends its capabilities by providing detailed ballistic solutions for distances up to 3000 meters. It allows for weapon profile customization, including adjustments for scope click measurements in MOA or mRad, enabling users to receive specific adjustments required for their sight based on range and wind conditions.

A standout feature is the incorporation of a radar-measured G7 BC database for Very Low Drag (VLD) bullets, which surpasses the accuracy provided by other applications. Relying solely on advertised BCs from manufacturers can lead to significant errors; thus, BulletFlight’s G7 data source from Bryan Litz is a notable advantage. For enhanced precision, users can utilize up to five ballistic coefficients with corresponding velocity thresholds per profile or select a singular G1, G7, or G8 value.

The application includes several pre-configured profiles tailored for common military rifles such as the M110 semi-automatic precision rifle and various models like the SR16, M107, M40A3, M24, and KAC PDW. Users have the flexibility to modify existing profiles or create new ones according to their specifications.

This app has been effectively implemented in combat scenarios by military snipers during operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, demonstrating its reliability in high-pressure environments.
